Green Ilminster
Green Ilminster is all about making our local community more resilient and looking after not only our natural world but each other – our friends and families – as we start feeling the impact of climate change. We want to reduce our impact on the planet and create a more sustainable environment and economy. We believe the key will be in thinking globally but acting locally, engaging with and involving the Ilminster community in issues such as:

Share & Repair
Our home in Silver Street for our Repair Crew and Library of Things to Hire, plus green bargains on refills and 2nd hand electrical products.
Tree Group
Our friendly tree planters meet monthly – planting in winter and maintaining the rest of the year. Cake is also involved
GI Talks
Monthly talks between September and April on subjects of interest to eco-minded folk.
Water Testing
Working for the Westcountry Rivers Trust, our band of citizen scientists sample at sites up and down the River Isle every month.
Litter Picking
Quarterly flash-mobs tidying our beautiful town from our base in Silver Street.
Getting Social
We also run regular Quiz Nights and social events
