This is an outline guide to setting up the Green Ilminster/Ilminster Share and Repair Email addresses on your personal device. These email inboxes are strictly for the use by Green Ilminster and Ilminster Share and Repair volunteers in the every day business of the above two organisations.
Our two websites are currently hosted by IONOS, which also provides the email service. Details will be required before adding the email configuration to your devices:
- Username/email address: example info@greenilminster.org.uk
- Password: This is available from Chris Taylor.
Also additional information, specific to IONOS, is needed to be able to setup the IMAP mailbox – the essential details are below, or full details can be found at IONOS directly.
Incoming Email Service:
- Account Type: imap (NOT POP3!!)
- Incoming Server: imap.ionos.co.uk
- Connection Type/Encryption Type: SSL/TLS
- Port: 993
Outgoing Email Service:
- Outgoing Server: smtp.ionos.co.uk
- Connection Type/Encryption Type: SSL/TLS
- Port: 465
Access email inboxes WITHOUT adding the service to your device
