Update: Tree Group Planting – Sat Feb 22 – 10:00am

Good afternoon all you tree planters!

Everything is in place for Saturday’s planting at Townsend Farm, which is part of the Dillington Estate. I will meet with volunteers at 10:00am at the Market House outside the Co-op. (Some people will be making their way straight to the site.)

You will need good outdoor working clothes, boots and gloves, and a spade. You will all get onsite instructions about how to plant your trees (we are planting 195 altogether) but as you will see from the attached video, you will also need a pair of shears. I expect everyone will have to plant between 10 and 20 trees each.

If you can’t bring tools, don’t worry as we will all be able to share.

We will also have 30 x Silver Birch, 30 x Rowan and 35 x Blackthorn left over which we will need to plant during the following week. Any ideas about where these might go will be welcomed…

As usual we will meet afterwards for a debrief afterwards at the Gamesmaster Cafe.

See you on Saturday and please reply to this email if you expect to be present. Thankyou! Colin
