Tree Group - Maintenance Session

Volunteer day – Today, we will gather in a different meeting place from normal, the Arts Centre car park. This will make it easier to collect all the trees which have been stored there for a couple of days. The meeting time will be the same as usual @ 9:45am. If you want to meet up in the Townsend farmyard, get there between 10:00 – 10:15. We will be planting a minimum of 18 new shrubs and about 20 pot-grown trees to replace those damaged when cattle entered the site.

This will, we hope, be a fairly gentle post-Christmas session, ending up with food and warming beverages at a local eatery

We may go by car (although the site is walkable if you want to do that, and definitely cyclable); and we will work from about 10:30-12:30. You’ll need strong boots and gloves but a planting spade will be provided.
