Volunteer day – Today, we will gather together at The Meeting House car park @ 9:45am. We will be planting 200 trees at a new planting site just outside Ilminster.
We will make our way by car to the site which is near what used to be The Eagle Tavern and is now La Campagna on the A303.
The site will already have been visited by an advanced guard, who will have placed stakes and canes in the ground where the trees will be planted.
You will need the normal strong working clothes, wellies and a spade. Although the farmer has been carrying out some drainage work, the site is still likely to be quite damp.
